A great surprise! I expected a comedy caper but it blends noir, sense of spirituality, romance in a modern style with sophistication. Grandeur and fun is added by the music: the original score is on a cinematic scale (also unexpected!) and soundtrack choices are captivating! Waiting until the 25 August to watch the next episode....

Best Harlen Coben series I've seen so far. Possibly seems more impressive to me due to watching it in a foreign language, as I find the British shows' dialogue pretty cringe and full of plot holes. The cast, cinematography, and narrative devices of The Innocent are stylish, enticing and surprisingly finely comedic! Four stars because I felt the final episode and conclusion was disappointing compared to the rest.

One of the most underrated and poorly served original shows of recent years. Marketing didn't do it justice and somehow made the acting look terrible (late night Hollyoaks came to mind!) But in fact everyone is outstanding, conflicted, areas of grey and constant twists you think you can easily guess but - WRONG. Give it a chance and avoid all spoilers!!!
