Onward is a little typical with it's one-dimensional characters, and the typical error in judgement before triumphant adventure plot. However, it also tackles the issue of losing a loved one, and the bond between siblings. The ending of the film was unexpected, and was actually quite touching. Disney took some sensitive subject matter, and made it kid friendly. Overall, the film is light-hearted, cute, funny, and heart-warming. Nothing Oscar worthy, but that's okay - this film is what Disney does best.
