Mixed reaction to this show, thought it would be well done for a cruise ship, no set changes to fiddle with, no real costume changes to speak of, just six talented women singing a history lesson of sorts. If you don’t know the history (of course British school children have a rhyme to memorize), it might be worth a quick review prior to seeing SIX, just so that you get a better sense of the story being told by the women and their lyrics. Overall, I would say there are far better musicals, but if you want to spend 90-ish minutes listening to songs you have not heard before, telling a story you might be vaguely familiar with, watching/listening to singers who can command a stage, then this is for you. Just remember, you can’t have as bad a day as Anne Boleyn.
