I don't normally review games, if I don't like it then I don't like something and go about my day typically- but this leaves me so disappointed
I bought the game expecting it to be similar to the endless ocean game I played as a kid on the Wii, but instead was met with a shell of a game. It's based more around learning the names of fish and just swimming- what happened to it being a map? There being specific locations to freely explore, swimming with dolphins and training them to do tricks, randomly walking onto the deck of the boat to penguin or birds. The old game was more exploration and enjoyment, and so when I saw this game come out I expected so much more.
It seems as if free dive is more randomly generated, which in most games I'm fine with, I loved Minecraft for years. This just doesn't feel like it should be random? It's the ocean! I also found many sea animals in one dive session that I'm more than certain don't all live in this type of area, which is sad because I remember in the original you'd have to dive in different areas to find different fish and dolphins.
I feel like the price of $50 for this is depressing, I would've never wasted money knowing of the lack of similarity to the Wii counterparts. If your expecting something like the previous games, don't buy it unless your fine with it being drastically different.
