I've been excited for this show ever since the cameo episode in doom patrol and whilst I was slightly disappointed that everyone but Ruth Connell was recast, the new actors didn't disappoint at all. It had a nice mix of humour whilst also touching on darker subjects. All the characters were well written and had multiple layers which were fun. I loved the casual LGBTQ representation. The cases are all unique and fun (and at times sad). It would be a huge let down if this show doesn't get another season as it seems like they set up for more. Also despite being part of the sandman universe, as of the 1st season you can still enjoy it on it's own so don't let that scare you away. There is a couple cameos but you learn everything you need anyway.
