I don’t know why this movie actually hit the spot with me. I felt it was somewhat plotless and anti climatic, yet incredibly intriguing. I will point out that it has impeccable acting and is era authentic.Very interesting to watch. I feel it might not be for everyone but I also feel it will become a classic. Four stars only because I felt the film maker missed a great opportunity to feature a music sound track that would have propelled this movie into a cult classic.

Was this movie put out to show a loss on their tax returns? I watched it mostly because I read there were nice cars in it. Could be one of the worst movies ever.

Wow, completely disappointing. I love this guy. I was so stoked about another attempt at Borat. This was a poor Hail Mary for his career. I barely smiled. His other movies,I cried! This really sucks. Don’t bother watching.

Adam Sandler should stay away from comedy. As time goes by this picture will gain more accolades. Sandler really made this a great movie. This is one of best movies I’ve seen in the past ten years. The weird thing is, at one point I wanted to stop watching it because Sandler’s character is so horribly disgusting and so believable. Oscar worthy for many reasons.

My all time favorite series. This attempt of a prequel is very disappointing. They took a shot and missed. It just doesn’t hold up to the Sopranos at all. The acting in the Sopranos was so spot on, to me it was always like a documentary. This movie had it’s moments. Some of the casting is it’s only saving grace. Maybe I just expected more. In the series you always saw the comedy of their ignorance. You saw the realistic lack of empathy for anyone they hurt or robbed from. You saw strategy in the chess game of organized crime. I would think the era depicted would have more violence and more police and political corruption. The scene with the cops and the cab driver seemed unrealistic. I get it, the prequel was not meant to be the Sopranos. I think it was intended to set everything up and show us the Sopranos roots. I believe it was a huge order to fill that truly shouldn’t have even been attempted.
