Some of you idiots are acting like this was not written well over a century ago. They don't read you this poem in school to make you agree with Kipling's views. Quite the opposite actually. In modern context, yes, this is racism at its worst and it is clear that he is trying to justify stealing the money and resources of locals under the guise of "helping" them. But things weren't the same back then. This poetry highlights how many people thought about imperialism. Like helping a helpless child. This document is very helpful in understanding imperialism and just racial views in general at the time. That's what you should be reviewing it on. Not on if you agree with the views, because it was 120 years ago, of course you won't agree.
