Akira is definitely a unique Anime film and for lovers of animation, you should certainly see this movie at least once. I liked how the main story took place in 2019 and I just so happened to watch this movie on Hulu for the first time in 2019. Anime movies like Akira and Ghost in the Shell has a faded color animation appearance, which I really like because it shows where anime got its start. The visuals are great and the variety of themes in this movie fascinated me. There were some moments in the film that had me lost or weird out, but the action made up for it. Viewers do not find out why the movie is called "Akira" until the end, but I won't spoil anything. Overall, this was an entertaining film and just admire that this movie was created through cell animation, which is very time consuming but rewarding.
