I was looking for a new book to read and asked the girl at the book store if she had any suggestions. She pointed The Stand out to me and said this No1. I took it home and barely set it down. The writing skill was beyond anything I’d had read before. King was able to take me right into not just the story, but made me feel every word in my bones. I could picture everything I was reading in my mind. Funny I remember thinking this would make a great movie but it’s so long how could anyone shorten it down n make sense? The first movie was awesome. The cast was perfect. I'm watching the second now. Why it was made again I don’t know. The newer one is a bit confusing if you don’t know the book. The movie jumps around so much it’s hard to know where it’s in the past to the present. I look forward to watch the rest of the episodes.
