I’ll first say I love Scorsese and DiCaprio…then this happened. While the film is well done and acting is on point, they movie is 3 hours and 20 minutes long. Scenes are slow and drawn out. You are left waiting for some sort of suspense. The movie is sad with bad event after bad event. Some scenes could have certainly been shortened. The movie tried to be a perfect cinematic masterpiece, but falls flat and uninspiring, which is bothersome because I believe this story needs to be told. All truth be told, I did fall a sleep, I would never watch again, nor would I recommend. Definitely not worth the $20 price tag and I can’t get my 3 hours back.
