Funmi Adewale

Saw the trailer last year and was inspired to read the first book. Thankfully (since watching a book-turned-film shortly after reading it is always disappointing), the movie release was pushed by a year. I was at the 2h mark when I realized the movie wasn't going to make it to the end of the book's plot. And I was okay with it. Better slow and more thorough than rushed. The film does as much justice to the book as it can and brings to life visuals that had been hard for me to imagine despite the book's descriptions. That said, if you haven't read the book, you're still missing a whole lot of the inner mind of the different characters. If you have, enjoy!
