Fantastic cast, ethnically pleasing, nostalgic but terrible script. After the movie was over I just thought, “that’s it?” There could have been more depth and there was a lot of plot holes. I understand where they were going with the plot (being a woman and mother myself) but I did not feel empowered or moved. I wish I would have waited to stream it instead of paying to see it in theaters. I love Barbie but I was sadly disappointed.

Great costumes, great actors, some very cool scenes but it was overall so boring. The plot seemed all over the place and they could’ve been more creative with the details (names, references to distance, and random props that didn’t fit the era). I know this was a remake but it was so awkward at times.
