all and nothing

It could've been a suave fun movie but the disgusting over-the-top blood and gore, and a really shallow plot destroyed it..demented minds who like so much blood and gore.

It seems Guy Ritchie likes the word "gentlemen" in his titles these days. It's a fantastic action movie with the suave Guy Ritchie touch. I take out 3 stars, and maybe should've taken out more, for the portrayal of Winston Churchill as some kind of a benevolent hero. This guy was a violent alcoholic no better than Hitler. He was directly responsible for the deaths of millions of people India when he stole the food from there that caused mass famines. But since the media has largely been controlled by western powers, we re always shown that the Allies were somehow the good guys when in fact they were as racist and monstrous (or perhaps more) than Hitler. There were no "good guys" in the war, they were all selfish greedy monsters.

Had put off watching this because of the cheesy title, but finally gave it a try, and was it good! Don't know what the negative reviews are about - the special effects, ambiance, story..all of it is tight. Much better than many of the light-weight dramatic Hollywood movies/shows in the genre. Need more of such international beauties. A good movie/show needs to have a balance of drama, action and ambiance. A lot of the newer ones, especially the ones on the streaming sites are full of quantity over quality. They will have fillers of drama which reduces the cost significantly, it's cheaper to get 2 people in a room talking about their feelings than actual action/drama. This movie has a good balance, and does not pretend to be what it is not.

First 2 episodes were ok. Then the senselessness, foolish violence and plot holes started appearing. People getting beaten to a pulp, stabbed etc in long boring drawn out sequences but they are totally fine the next day. The drama between Kwane and his mother is unbearable. The actor who plays Kwame's mother was lured into over-acting to a point of disgust. Very low level story. Not up to the mark at all compared to shows like Rome, GoT etc..skip..streaming shows taking over has put quantity over quality..

The 2 stars are to appreciate the direction, cinematography and such, But the story is such an amateur dud. I never liked this "Girl with the tattoo" series - it felt bland, cold and unattractive. This is no different. It requires such a suspension of disbelief - the girl who doesn't look so smart, is able to hack into any system anywhere and make it operate how she wants. it's ridiculous, it's almost as if she has superpowers. It's really amateur. And there are so many holes in the plot, and things/events just placed at the right time, it's as if they expected the audience to be 5 year olds.

Not bad at all. Fun watch, the actors are all quirky and do a good job. It's a bit morbid in places but overall, some cool entertainment.

Watched 2 episodes, and will probably watch more. It's entertaining, nothing new or original as such. However, what is up with the terrible depiction of the Druids? They are shown like some ugly, violent, evil zombies. Do the filmmakers have a bias against the Druids or something?

It sets the tone really well right from the beginning, but gets dry at places. All the actors have done a great job except the two primary ones - the ones playing Modiji and Amitji - they seem like comic caricatures rather than the real personalities, especially the one playing Amit Shah is embarrassing. I mean, what were the filmmakers thinking? Have to take 2 stars off. All other actors have been casted great, and Yani Gautam is amazing albeit having somewhat of a supernatural portrayal. Anyway, It's definitely a must watch for its originality and the presentation of facts.

The movie was much better. Couldn't watch after 3 episodes. The first episode was great, and mostly click bait cause they put all that action in there. Why is the whole world mostly South east asian? I never read the comics or whatever, but they should've had a more diverse cast. Looks like the one who plays Katara got the role without an audition. She feels like just another teen hanging out at home..like there is no presence for such a prominent character. Sokka was kinda cool. It could've been a much better show.

1 star because a lot lot more was expected from the creators of Game of Thrones. I couldn't watch after 1.5 episodes. Sci-fi does not mean that you have to make it a convoluted mess that'll give a headache. And as some have pointed out about the miscasting - that is quite true..the most moronic people are casted as top level scientists. And the normalization of drug use is also undesirable. The creators should maybe stick to those nice medieval themes..dungeons and dragons stuff.
