Robert Slimak – Google

Having read Box's novel "The Highway" saved me from watching this! The book sucked in my opinion because the good guy, Cody Hoyt,(well, the better guy anyway) is killed in the end by one of the bad guys, who also dies, but the main bad guy, the trucker who does the actual kidnappings, escapes. Now the TV series may be different, but since I already know how it is supposed to end what's the point in watching?

3.5 actually. First move I've seen with JK Simmons and Sienna Miller where I wanted them killed. Disappointed she wasn't. Don't care if she had a kid. If you don't like the salary, which you knew before you started, don't become a cop. There is never an excuse for cops to go bad. In real life I want them all dead. In fact I wish all the good cops would kill the criminals anytime they point a gun at a cop. Why should taxpayers be footing the $72 grand a year to keep them in prison? What use are they to society, Yes I know my opinion on criminals is going to shock people. Don't care. I hate criminals.

Robert B Parker must be rolling in his grave for what they've done to his characters. While the old Spencer for Hire had its faults it was SO much better than this piece of garbage. Except for the names none of the characters were anything like what Parker wrote. They couldn't even get the dog right which was always a German Shorthair Pointer.and they got rid of Susan, Spencer's intelligent psychiatrist girlfriend and replaced her with a dog groomer named Cicci. They would have been better off just making an action movie and not based on on the books. Do not watch if you've read the books!!!
