The whole point of a space game is to explore, and fly and wander. Starfield doesn’t give you that. You can’t even manually land or take off, or fly from one place to another. just a interface with a fake space map that is not immersive whatsoever. further, the whole point of open world RPGs is also to wander around, but this doesn’t work in starfield. simply because even in the same area going in and out of buildings or rooms is just loading screens. and then to move from one planet to another is just so fake so you end up in a disjointed experience. I’m genuinely baffled by how a studio like bethesda was not able to pull an immersive exploration experience like no man’s sky. definitely there are good stuff in the game, but don’t expect to spend many hours in it. I think 10 engineers working for 10 years would have produced a much better game so not sure what was bethesda doing all that time. i’m disappointed and almost angry because i was really really looking forward to this game and hoping i get space elder scrolls level of immersion.
