My friend loaned me the book and insisted it would be worth reading. For the first third of it I was skeptical, thinking the writing was witty,but the subject matter depressing. I kept telling myself that it was an international best seller and that I should be a good book, Boy, am I glad I didn't give up. It proved to be a charming, insightful read.
