this was soooo hyped and people swore it was absolutely gold “just liKe LoveLy RuNnEr”. I admit, it started soo good (i even gave it a 5 stars by the 9th episode) but over time, the writers just added so many side plots and tropes that went nowhere. people say the off-screen chemistry of the actors is so on-point but sadly, I don’t feel they are translated on-screen. they seemed better as bickering friends than lovers, and I quickly lost interest when they started dating. thus, I paid more attention to the side couple (10/10) and the parents’ dynamics instead, which were great and brought up many good issues about familial pressure and burden of expectations, old-life crisis, poverty, etc. However, the plot about stomach cancer and possible Alzheimers could have been more impactful. And lastly, I have no special words for the last episode; I had high hopes after ep.15 but the ending was a let-down
