Do yourself a favor. Watch the first episode and then imagine that the rest of the series is as good, Do not watch the rest of the series unless you want to test your patience for gimmicky, convoluted, comedy/drama that is neither funny nor dramatic. Not the cast’s fault—more like pilot error.

A brilliant example of British wartime propaganda made in a semi-documentary style. Eric Portman gives his typically brilliant performance as a man who forsees the class and social changes that would take place after the war. If you want to understand the success of Britain’s post-war Labour Party, watch this film.

A very interesting idea well executed with a terrific twist at the end. Simply beautiful.
