I'm 1-staring this to complain about the arrogant, misanthropic morons and their pointless and stupid reason for not liking this show, much like the other guy here.
First of all, most of these reviews are probably from boomer parents who have never even watched the show, hate cartoons blindly with an inch of their soul, yet still let their kids watch brain-dead fools on youtube.
1- the animation is stylistic and charming for children to enjoy. Not strict adults who only like one thing.
2- the plot is not complex for you to follow. You are just stupid. (girl gets teleported to frog world with her friends and wants to find them and get home, what is complicated about that)
3- Anne is not a natural leader. She is flawed and learns throughout the series, which is good character design. The reason she's better than everyone is because she is from the modern century, in a land that lives pastorally.
4- the jokes are meant for kids, and there are hidden adults there as well.
In other words, all of these people doing 1-star reviews are ironically very immature for adults and need to grow up mentally; you hate an animated tv show that is meant for children. You are like the same people who adore Steven Universe only for its LGTBTQ+ representation and nothing out, despite that show being absolute garbage.
My actual review is 5-star. This show makes me laugh, and I adore the adoptive dynamic between Anne and the planters, Anne's toxic relationship with Sasha and her Sister-from-another-mister relationship with Marcy. The jokes are hilarious when they hit, a slight chuckle at least, and the plot is fun to watch.
Plus, Troy baker's performance as captain Grime is priceless. Speaking of which, The cast is fantastic, and the characters they play are really fun to watch. I could recommend this to anybody who likes cartoons, or even somebody who hasn't watched cartoons that much. Except for the type of people of actually 1-stared this show.
