Just finished Cyberpunk 2077 and Phantom Liberty DLC on PS5 (V2.1) with over 100 hours of gameplay, and I have come to the conclusion that this is the best open world games I have ever played, and one of the best games and best story I have ever played in general. The gameplay is smooth and flows well with many various play-styles to choose from by using different weapons, skills, cyberwear, quickhacks and so much more. Gameplay is determined on choices and dialogue options, and in some cases, changes the story entirely. You could play this game from start to finish 20 times and still have constant new experiences. I completed as much as I could but I'm sure there's hundreds of hidden missions or interactions that I am yet to find. The latest V2.0/2.1 on PS5, Xbox Series X or PC is absolutely crucial in playing this game with the vest experiences possible; with the many overhauls in story, dialogue, combat, movement, skill tree, weapons, clothing and so much more, this really feels like the game that should have released from day one. I was disappointed when I played this game on day one but I kept my copy because I had faith that it could be revived be ause there is something so unique about this game and its story. And alas, CD Project Red delivered far more than anyone ever anticipated. I believe this game will hold up in its standard and quality and overall unique qualities for many years, even decades from now. Cyperpunk 2077 (V2.0+) needs to be an example of the quality in video games that we should be demanding and getting, especially as dedicated fans to any developers and series. I had never played a game by CD Project Red before but they have just gained another dedicated fan, and if they keep releasing products of this quality (and ideally same universe or concept) they will absolutely be receiving my financial and dedicated support without question. I could say so much more in this review about the game, story and gameplay but I would spoil it for others and I feel the greatest achievement is not just what they have created but how they too the responsibility and initiative to fix and improve a game that they and their fans care very dearly about.
