Boba Fett is the fears of disney-ification come to life. Fett is nearly incapable in most fights and nearly loses to a kitchen robot. He rarely makes decisions for himself and 25% of the episodes are dedicated to the Mandelorian (they're the best episodes. I love the Mandelorian, but he is not Boba Fett, not what I came for). The brutal, cash hungry bounty hunter is replaced with a relatively helpless old man. It has some good moments, the actors all seem like they're having a great time. I was anticipating Star Wars: The Punisher and got Star Wars: Friendship is magic instead. If you are not a huge fan of boba Fett from AU, you'll probably like this okay enough. But don't expect anything magical

Excellent beginning, cool driving question, good acting. Steven Moffat does the Steven Moffat thing and plants a question he can't really answer with any satisfaction in the story. By the end of it that question ruins it for me. The first two episodes were awesome but Drac's time in the modern day felt far too paralells to an episode of Doctor Who. Given the appearance of the Harkers at the start I thought this version was gonna stay similar to the book, no such luck. Which is fine, there's plenty of good non book adaptations. Van Helsing as a woman was well played, although given her personality she didn't strike me as the nun she was supposed to be.
