Decided to watch this movie at random because I enjoy horror movies and noticed that Yvonne Strahovski (Handmaid’s Tale) was starring. The movie was very disappointing. The desaturated look of everything really cheapened the film and the directing was poor. There was no attempt to establish the size or layout of the lake house, which added to the confusion later on when the cat and mouse chase amped up. Yvonne tried her best with the script but she could only do so much. The script! The writing! It was boring and frustrating at the same time. The characters made illogical decisions (looking at you, dad) so often you start rooting for the killer with no backstory. Hard pass, definitely skip it.
