The protagonist the African American lead is I’m sure a good actor with range. Directors made him wooden and virtually expressionless. If his infatuation with the female lead was part of his plan to save the world it was lost on me. He seems smitten and irrational for an international CIS type hit man. That was so thin and irrational a plot line that I was almost out. But ... The time warp forward and back elements in the last third of the movie redeemed the movie. The other actors brought energy and credibility to the movie. The lead did not. Too bad to waste the chance to make black actors meaningful powerful believable characters who can raise the value of black actors in other films. D
