I think that although Bill tends to have a good grasp on topics, his presentation of facts is only partially complete.
Recently I heard him talking about the 2nd Ammendment and Gun control as if the were the same issue. The second ammendment does not specify guns, it specifies arms. That could be a Bow and Arrow or a sling shot and by some state and federal guidelines it can also be a paintball gun.
The real issue is more in the line of education and standardization on a federal level and what is acceptable for the individual states on a state level.
Those weapons required in Alaska, for example, may not be the same as California or Arizona but it is for the states to use the federal standardization to create those boundaries. (If the feds ever stop trying to eliminate the guns and start focusing on terms, categories and definitions for them) example: paintball guns are not handguns or rifles.. a paintball gun can actually be used as an automatic device but does it classify as a SAW or Thompson?
It is also an issue of education so we don't have politicians saying things like, "50 caliber machine guns" because they do not understand what exactly they are talking about or that some of those weapons they throw out are usually mounted on the back of a Humvee because carrying them is not even practical.
It would also benefit us if there were classes and recertification required, to insure safety and knowledge, on a cyclic term. Much like the food servers of a restaurant have recertification every 3 to 5 years.
These are not things he has bothered to present or explore. I think if he is going to approach topics like that he needs to get a clearer presentation. I still like the show but lately it's been a little disappointing
