If you didn’t see the 1961 original you probably liked the remake. Maria, Anita and Riff were excellent. Did not like any part of Tony’s performance. The Music and dancing were just OK, compared to the originals excellence.
I would be most interesting in hearing from someone who only saw the 1961 original after seeing Spielberg‘s remake.
