Before watching the movie I checked the rating the cast. Such high profile actors and I expected a little too much I guess. Apart from being totally unrealistic with Mickey (Ranbir) being a conman and his girlfriend Tinnu (Shraddha) hiring him to help her break off their engagement, Tinnu's reasons for breakup was somehow understandable, if not completely acceptable. The film revolved around Mickey and Tinnu hiding their true intentions and identities just to keep the game going on. And tons and tons of cringeworthy scenes I literally has goosebumps. So they break off their engagement and in a dramatic turn of events, they both meet again through their mutual friend's baby shower celebration. Did they move on from the breakup? They both looked like they did..(Mickey's little niece was there at the scene of the reunion and she didn't grow up one tiny bit so it looked like there wasn't much time gap between the breakup and the reunion but I was thinking ki chalo it's just an entertainment movie let's see till the finish)A big dance party, cringey friendship gestures, Tinnu hurts her feet and Mickey takes her in his arms only to be taken back to the family who she felt was too much into their personal spaces. Now Tinnu (a CA born into a family of CAs and who often travels abroad) should be pretty mature enough to realise that she's back to square one. Every woman who knows what she wants should stand firm with it right? But no she continues falling for the same guy with the same family baggage. Still I was thinking koi baat nhi ladki log aise hote hai if we're madly in love with a man nothing else matters.
Uff this is so frustrating... All the issues have been resolved on the way to stop her from going to London so she ends up living with them at the end.
***I just realised Shraddha's character was Tinni and not Tinnu. I tortured myself just to see to the end of the movie..I didn't pay much attention to details.
