This movie is so bad. The writing is abysmal. The villain is one dimensional, spends the movie screeming at his hench people, immediately decides to kill Rocket even though Rocket came up with the key insight to fix his evil experiment issues. Dunno, maybe keep him around for future insights maybe? Starlord begins with the usual trope of hero who has turned to drink to get over his loss, but his companions stand by him. Wonder who came up with this inspired piece of writing? Most of the movie feels like a bad pantomime, actors standing around in bad costumes delivering clinched lines. "We're going to save our friend" another original plot line. There is a ridiculous talking dog who takes offence at being called a bad dog, yawn. some stupid furry teddy bear doing I'm not sure what. I've only scratched the surface of why this movie is so bad. Save your money unless you are a die hard Marvel fan. p.s. I liked GOTG 1. 2 was watchable. 3 is dreadful. A worrying trend if you're hoping for a 4th instalment. I give it 1 star(lord).
