OK. let's get one thing perfectly clear. THIS IS NOT A DOCUMENTARY, SO IT'S NOT SUPPOSED TO BE A 100% FACTUAL ACCOUNT OF WHAT HAPPENED AT PEARL HARBOUR. So all of these reviewers busting a fuse about it having errors, or that something like that just wouldn't have happened need to take a chill pill. I just don't get what their problem is, or what they and critics of the time of it's release were expecting. It's a bit like complaining about the hugely successful comedy series 'Friends', for having serious moments in it, saying that comedies are only supposed to make you laugh.
This is a CINEMATIC account of an event in history, adapted as a true Hollywood blockbuster. So, it tells a story with the intention of leaving audiences feeling like they have witnessed a roller-coaster of emotions and a feast of sights and sounds, and BOY DOES IT DELIVER. Pearl Harbour had a huge number of visually stunning scenes, beautiful emotionally charged music, gripping drama, with high quality performances from some of the best actors, that fully engages the audience, and a plot that has you on the edge of your seat. So what the hell is not to like!!!!
I only hope that anyone reading these reviews is open minded enough to ignore the negative comments, and keen enough to not miss out on one of the most under-rated, truly great, blockbusters that stands the test of time.
