This is a fantastic album which is based on a fusion of Afro-Dominican rhythms and jazz. So it has the edginess of jazz, but is grounded on a folkloric floor of percussion.
(Junior Santos also wrote and arranged most of the material on the album.)
This is a genuinely singular - and amazing - oeuvre by the Dominican Maestro, Junior Santos!
