Entertaining if witches, vampires and werewolves are your thing. Interesting plot twists, keeps you on the edge of your seat. Only criticism is that it perpetuates egomania, selfishness and class hierarchy through the lead characters (the Mikaelson family). Main characters of the show are generally awful and repulsive which leaves an uneasy feeling as you watch it. The show has a tendency of glorifying unpleasant qualities such as egoism, conceit and justified cruelty. For this reason I cannot rate it as highly as I would like to.
