"straight up" was popular during the time i was in my high school's production of "hello, dolly," and i was a dancing waiter with jen allen. jen liked "straight up," i remember. the next year, my sophomore year, i remember seeing the video for "opposites attract" at craig schneiderwind's house, before we left to buy concert tickets for madoona's "blond ambition tour". i had the lp, and i liked it. i remember something with arsenio and paula, i guess they were dating.
