Well what a let down after all the hype. Extremely dull and shallow - totally unrealistic depiction of WW1. The landscapes were so obviously Surrey. Has to be one of the worst war films I’ve ever watched. A classic example of triumph of hype over reality. Just cos it’s a Sam Mendes film who has made many a weak movie. Waste of 2 hours.
