What a movie. The direction reminds you of Kurosawa (it is a remake of a Kurosawa movie, and the director has captured the style perfectly). The movie is tightly scripted, profoundly moving and always engrossing. The actors are all pitch perfect, couldnt be better. The art direction and sets take you back to a era long gone. I saw it on a flight and thought it was a 1970s classic that I had somehow missed. Had to Google to figure out it was a 2022 film ! Not sure how this movie went under the radar , but it certainly will make every serious film goer happy. Director,casting and art directors, actors (especially Bill Nighy in the lead) - take a bow. Everyone else - watch this movie. You won't regret it.
