This game was an integral part of my childhood, and it's the first game I remember being genuinely hyped for. If you don't know already, Skylanders is an action/adventure game with a unique twist: The characters you play as are toys that you have to collect in real life to play as them! Looking back, this was a predecessor to the microtransactions in gaming that we are all too familiar with nowadays, but back then, it was a ton of fun to go out and look for these figures, come back home and play with them in-game. I sunk hours upon hours into this game when I was a kid, from completing the story, to completing side missions and mini-games. The art style is very appealing to children, and is a great introduction to action/adventure games as a whole.
