The developer has repeatedly touted Elite Dangerous as a good revenue stream, however the developer also doesn't care about this game in the least. See their latest expansion's (Elite Dangerous Oddysee) reviews for reference. Despite promises that they would improve upon that broken mess that doesn't even tie into the main game, it's now been 5 months and performance is still terrible and the expansion still lacks any polish or significant updates (that's not what Frontier says, but you can't believe them). The expansion was literally pushed out to meet a fiscal deadline, with no care given to the actual quality. Frontier is just a cash grab developer now.
