Jane Tiller

It has taken me awhile to adjust to Discovery. My favorite series in TNG with Captain Picard. I really enjoy the use of scientific explanations for the various phose encountered on missions. What I don't like about Discovery, is the magical realism, a term popular in fiction now. I think the spore drive needs further explanation as science for me to accept it as real. It bothers me to have an "evil" character from another universe on board the ship. Also, I find it difficult to accept Michael's lack of adherence to Starfleet command structure. the graphics and visuals of Discovery are excellent. I like Michael's character as it is fraught with diversity, but I miss her brother, Spock. I will continue to watch, and I apologize for being an older viewer trying not to reject change. :) Docgio
