Actually, I've just started reading it and so far am not particularly enjoying it, despite the fact that I'm an avid reader of all genres of reading material.
Someone else commented on a change of detail between a character in the book and film.
I was surprised that no one mentioned, that at the start of the book, it is said that Holly had known Gerry since she was fourteen. In the film, Holly meets Gerry on a trip to Ireland after college and neither of them were fourteen! They hadn't " grown up together".
Did I misread something due to being tired? Or is this anomaly explained later in the book?
Anyway, if you are writing a sequel to something ( especially something as well loved as this film), you have to make sure to get the details correct.
