This film is dirty, grimy and exactly what you want from a Batman film. Matt Reeves has crafted a film that actually deals with Gotham City in terms of what a truly corrupt world would look like. This isn't about exciting us or getting cheers from the audience. This is a film that has a message meant to terrify viewers and hopefully make them reflect on it long after they leave the theatre. This isn't the Batman film you were expecting, but if you've read some of the best Batman comics it is the film you will love.

This film doesn't reinvent the wheel when it comes to the treasure hunting genre but it doesn't ruin it either. I think that critics are being way too hard on this film and expecting way too much from it. Sometimes people just want a really fun action film to get lost in for 2 hours and this film does deliver that. I think this is a great turn by Mark Wahlberg in a role hes well suited for and Tom Holland always has such effortless charisma on screen that overall if someone asked me if they were going to enjoy this film that I would say yes.
