unrealistic as always from a Indian movie... shame!
1 .The Indian director has shown the sequences related to Iran in the worst way. He has shown Iranian border guards as bribe takers, murderers and aggressors who easily target immigrants from other countries and make sinister plans for them!
Such an ugly and inaccurate depiction is done while Iranians have always treated immigrants well. In the history of the last hundred years, Iran has been one of the best immigrant-receiving countries in the world. During the Second World War, Iran was the best host for war-stricken and displaced Poles, and after that and throughout these years, it has always welcomed immigrants from neighboring countries.
2. Cinema critics have not shown much joy to the film and consider Hirani's filmmaking style to be repetitive and similar to his previous films such as PK. They say he writes his scripts using pre-determined formulas and tries to attract the audience by portraying sensational sequences.
3. Also, Hirani's exaggerated portrayal has been criticized by the Indian audience of the film. Criticizing the story of the film, they have said that if someone from India wants to travel to Europe as a smuggler, he would never choose such a route. Although today's cinema audiences are not easily swayed by these false depictions, such films have their own function and will cause Iranophobia and create a distorted image in the minds of some moviegoers.
