Words cannot describe how moving the overall narrative is, and how deeply saddening the experience of the soldiers of the First World War was. This movie did an excellent job of capturing that. This movie is a reminder that war is an evil thing, and that those who fight in it are not those who started it. It also (accurately) portrays hatred as something that is taught and learned, not something that we are born with.
