Gave this a go, but the writing is very poor imo. The characters are unsympathetic so it's hard to care or root for their progress. The 'puzzles' are very rushed and all over the place in their origins - it feels like the writers were trying hard to be intelligent without the research and ability to back it up believably. Added to which, there's a lot of gratuitously brutal violence and obscure 'darkness' that it feels like has been added solely to create drama and engage an audience (much like the movies) that just feels unnecessary. Much more effort has been put into the action-drama elements than intelligent or emotional writing that could've made this more captivating. Hard to watch someone who's meant to be a CIA head or an established academic make choices that, as a viewer, seem naive too. Not for me.
