One critic had called this movie disposable because it was implausible. They fail to realize these stunts are very much in the realm of plausability and people do such stunts all the time. This movies stunts that the two main protagonists go through and their scenarios are anxiety inducing. Which brings me to their characters which are pretty well written and extremely likable. And with Franco playing his heart, out like usual, the movie absorbs you in its world. A world that is excellently written. Which leads me to one of my biggest worries ,at the time. The integration of the internet. Many movies fail at this. They make one of two mistakes. One; too much of the internet is the focus and it becomes over bearing or two; the writers don’t understand the internet’s culter and make a failed representation. This movie should be the gold standard of how to make the internet a focal point without it drawing out the rest of the movie, for that, it brings in the internet when needed and it seemlesly flows with the movie.
Now, like every movie, this one has flaws as well. However they don’t nearly compare to the pros in this case. The cons are pretty nit-picky in the sense of some weird Dialogue at times. Except for one. The actress as V, the main character, is absolutely gorgeous and as her acting was good it felt at time as if she was piggy backing off of Franco. But you can’t blame her when Franco is powerful with his acting. As much as she can’t match his passion their dynamic was well written and they work extreamly well together. 8/10 from me!
