This is not a review-only commentary. A girlfriend of mine from about 11 yrs ago was in this movie. She was native to the area where the movie was filmed, and at about age 14 she was recruited to be in a few scenes. She talked about how often Montgomery Clift held up shooting due to being late or not being able to do his acting because of his drinking problem.
