Recently I started watching old episodes and recent episodes. Everytime I see champaklal I cringe. Everytime I see and hear Daya’s screeching voice I cringe. When I see her Garbha dance I cringe. Most of the time Champaklal is angry at his grown up son Jethalal and shouts at him for no reason who is nothing but caring, obedient, loving son. Champaklal insults his son in front of Tappu, Daya and entire Gokhuldam and chases with his stick. Jethalal can’t even scold Tappu without champaklal’s interference. He can’t even sleep extra hour or eat the food he likes in his own house without getting angry by Champaklal. Champaklal preaches everyone saying people should control their anger when he had bad temper and chases his son with his stick. Daya opens her every sentence with ‘Meri Ma Kehthi hei’. Why he Ma doesn’t tell son Sunderlal not to use Jethalal’s money to travel by taxi or flight to Mumbai? He just decides to come to Mumbai, brings some gift asks the money from Jethalal and on top of that mocks him and throws some insult. But for Daya or Champakla it’s not wrong. Another character is Anjali who is bent on giving diet food and Karela juice everyday to her healthy, young husband. He is not allowed to eat other than her food. Tara’s Mehta is overrated and overacted show. Sorry to say. I am done with this show.
