The main reason I started watching this eight episode series is because of Melissa McCarthy, I’m a big fan. I’ve never been a fan of Nicole Kidman ever, but in this series what grabs me is how creepy & mysterious she is as Masha. I love that. I think she does a pretty good job with the Russian accent. I just watched episode six and I have to admit, I cried my eyes out over the Marconi incident, not the first time I’ve cried with them. With two episodes left, I’m a little worried about this family. The storyline must be incredible in the last two shows. I’m eager to see what Masha’s backstory is, I can only imagine it’s a doozy. I like the interaction between Melissa and Bobby Carnavale. All in all, so far I’m hooked :) I think a big part of my satisfaction with this series is going to be how they wrap it up. It’s either gonna be a wow or an oh no, they could’ve done better. So far I can’t wait for the conclusion because I think they’ve done a really good job so far. Forget about who these actors are in real life, forget about where the episodes were filmed, just live in the moments of the episodes and enjoy them for what they are. Intriguing, unorthodox, a little scary, intertwined dynamics…just unplug from reality of life & enjoy this short lived dive into the weirdly wonderful place called Tranquillum. After all, you were chosen to watch it ;)
