How this has a 93% on RT is beyond me! Besides having a "High Maintenance resting face" Allison William's performances always come across as shallow to me. This movie has a fun premise but once again it's ruined by the delivery. The demonstration moment with the little girl and "the toy" was promising. You see the reaction of the executives and they state how crucial it is they move fast and that they protect the secrecy of that project so the technology can't be stolen by their competitors. But then they simply let "the toy" walk out of the building in the possession of the little girl exposing "the toy" for the world to see and where it can be easily stolen or damaged as those who have seen this movie know what I'm talking about. I hate it whenever a movie doesn't protect it's own premise like this. And to basically have "the toy" turn into a gender bending Chucky was also a lazy decision. They should have taken a more psychological approach to the story, it would have been so much more interesting to watch than her causing physical harm as the threat. If you have nothing else to watch then go for it, there are some mildly entertaining moments, otherwise skip it.
