Wrote a huge review regarding the show on Amazon..Completely deleted....... Nothing to do with RACE or GENDER as there are some great up and coming actors. Bad storyline, bad acting, poorly cast ,not enough seriousness to the show it could be darker in places like the dark powers should be. Basically Hercules or Xena with a million pound budget. So looking forward to the show and extremely disappointed. Massive LOTR fan. the BBC 1981 radio production is far better ( apart from some singing near the end ) even the Ralph Bahski animated film is and that's ropey at the best of times but probably the best gollum voice ever ( Peter Woodthorpe who also voiced in the radio production as did Michael Graham Cox as boromir). Can't even compare it to Peter Jackson's movies. Yes I know it is set before the third age but doesn't appear to set any tone close to the silmarillion or other works of JRR or Christopher Tolkien. As I stated Amazon are deleting negative reviews , however good old Google never fails. Plus it's pretty obvious I'm a nerd for LOTR 😂 so this review is genuine, don't waste your time.

My kids live this film as do we. Silly funny crazy , so many snowflake reviews about the jokes , and characters. Every time wild Mike gets released we all end up doing his dance the kids love it. So many silly fun jokes, honestly we have watched it so many times over the years. You can't compare this to other animated films intended to portray real meaning or a deeper emotional storyline, it's a daft movie just for fun. So what if milk is portrayed as alcohol and the animals are gambling kids know adults go to the pub and people gamble (which is a parody of the well known poker dogs painting). It's a party barn , you can't wrap everyone in cotton wool, the pig admits he loves the smell of bacon I mean if that's not funny..... Who cares the male cow has udders , our kids have never mentioned it or been bothered even though they know it's not accurate. Otis likes the newly arrived pregnant female cow , it shows how much he loves her he knows they come as a package. Obviously in real life you wouldn't fall in love so quickly after two or so days or have moved on from your partners death but it's not real life it's a really funny movie. Honestly the world has gone mad. If you want a great family laugh together give it a chance.
