I’m not sure why people are comparing this show to hallmark channel programs. The only comparison is that it’s wholesome. Atleast there is chemistry between the two main characters, unlike most hallmark programs and free of constant product placement. This show is simple yet feel good in a non cheesy way. There’s something to be said for that. Hallmark is downright tacky, and we know that going into it. This show isn’t. It leaves me feeling good and I appreciate the genuine quality it has. It’s like a good cup of tea. Comforting, honest, no nonsense, and charming. True, it could introduce a richer plot and some more interesting stories but it always keeps my interest nonetheless. Get rid of the mayor though. She’s just annoying and hard to watch. I hope there is a second season.
