this movie depicted india as it was 1980s. ambassador cars, Bullock carts etc.the movie also makes mockery of the indian scientific society . but still it explores the culture and beauty of the country. the fact that govts are favouring MNCs is shown in the movie. Brie Larson did an appreciable job. the place shown in the movie is kuttanadu in kerala, which is the south of india and the place refered in the movie is north of india. the cultures and development are different at north and south.

the film may have it's flaws. but,in the sense that cinema should connect with the audience, the secret life of walter mitty is successful. every sequence in this film absorbs the 'quintessence ' of the subject which is shot. the cinematography is brilliant. the film inspires the audience to do something they have been hesitating to do just because of some unreal, self-constructed reasons. everybody who felt this film will put it in their personal movie collection.
