I have been reading King's book since Carrie was his only novel and this is the his second book in a row I haven't bothered finishing. This and Elevation seem to be more a diatribe about anything that isn't his beloved liberal/leftie politics. I will just re-read his earlier novels; up until now I had placed King as my favourite twentieth century novelist, almost in the same calibre of Dickens. I will pick up books of his from the library but won't buy any as I don't wish to subjected to a political lecture.
